Valentines | You Make Me Hoppy

Hello there! Today I wanted to share with you the Valentine's card I made for my boyfriend. To make this card  used the new Clearly Besotted set called Jump for Joy.

I stamped out the frogs holding hands image and a lily pad and coloured them in using Spectrum Noir markers. I adhered them to a white tag cut out using my Pretty Pink Posh dies using foam pads and them stamped on the sentiment using memento tuxedo black ink.

I cut out a rectangle of paper from the 6"x6" Crate Paper Party Day paper pad and adhered this to the card base with a piece of funky foam. I stamped a little heart above the frogs that also came in the set and coloured it in with a red pen.

I finished this card off by rounding the two left hand side corners which is a look I really like.

Thanks for stopping by and I would love to see your valentines cards, link me in the comments!

  2. how much does it cost you to make these cards? I'm looking at starting something on the side. I live in london and have been interested in cards for a while now. What are the costs associated with this please?

    1. It depends how big you wont your range to be. So I've built my collection up over a couple of years of things that I can use over and over again. I'd say a good place to start would be to buy a pack of card blanks (I use The Works for mine, £4 for a pack of 50 5"x7") and then look at the Ultimate Die cut and paper packs that Docrafts release. I'd say out of everything in those packs you could easily make 50-100 cards depending how much you put on each. They normally retail for around £11.95 but if you keep your eye out for sales you can usually find them pretty cheap. Other things you'll need are double sided and foam tape. You can get those in an craft shop, I get my double sided from Hobbycraft and most of my foam tape from poundland (also comes with foam pads). If you wanted to breach out into stamping thats a whole new world! :P x
