Lawnscaping Challenge No. 103 - Dimension

I started this card by stamping out the little hedgehogs in memento tuxedo black ink and colouring them in with a selection of brown Spectrum Noir markers.

The card panels is cut out using the Pretty Pink Posh stitched duo 2 die, onto which I stamped the greeting, again using tuxedo black ink. I also stamped the little heart from the set between the two hedgehogs and coloured that in with a red marker.

Before adhering the panel, I chose some matching twines to wrap around the background piece to lift the white panel and give a little more visible dimension other than foam tape.

I then layered everything together with foam tape and squares to create a really dimensional card.

Products I used:
  • Lawn Fawn - Hedgehugs stamp set
  • Pretty Pink Posh - Stitched Duo 2 die
  • American Crafts Twine
  • Spectrum Noir Marker Pens
  • Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
  • Foam Tape
  • Lawn Fawn - Small Stitched Rectangles Dies
  • Assorted patterned papers
  • Papermania Kraft A6 cards and envelopes
I have entered this card in the Lawnscaping Challenge No.103 as it is all about dimension! How Perfect!

Avery Elle Challenge #22: Stripes

Hello there and today I have a birthday card I made for a good friend of mine, so hopefully she doesn't see this before I give it to her :P

I cut out 3 balloon shapes from some striped paper using the Avery Elle Balloons Elle-ments. The sentiment is also from an Avery Elle stamp set called Cake & Candles.

I adhered these some some dark woodgrain paper from Amy Tangerine Cut & Paste 12x12 paper pad and drew in the balloon strings with a black pen.

I then added some enamel dots around the sentiment to make it stand out.

I am also entering this card in the Avery Elle Challenge #22: Stripes.

Sparkle and Shine Challenge Blog: Good Luck

On my blog today, I have made a card for the brand new Sparkle and Shine Challenge Blog

The card needs to be inspired by the four leaf clover, so I chose to make a good luck card with a green theme, and I couldn't forget the sequins! I tried to do something different with them and shaped the sequins to look like a flower.

For this card I used:
  • Pretty Pink Posh - Stitched Duo 3 die
  • Avery Elle - Pinked Elle-ments dies
  • Gorjuss - The Fox stamp set
  • Clearly Besotted Stamps - Many Mini Messages

I am also entering this card in the Curtain Call challenge as it also fits the theme over there!

Go check both of these excellent challenges out! Even if you don't enter, you can get some brilliant inspiration from the design teams, the guest designers and all the other entries! :)

Hello Buttercup

Hello there! Today I'm bringing you a card I created using some Avery Elle products. For this card you will need:
  • Kraft cardstock
  • White pigment ink
  • Colouring pencils
  • Avery Elle petals and stems clear stamps
  • Avery Elle Simply Said Hello stamps and coordinating die

To create this card I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Petals and Stems set in some white pigment ink. I didn't worry about overlapping the stamps or any fancy masking as I then coloured over all the images with coloured pencils, which hid it all anyway. Stamping in white and then colouring the images makes the colours more vibrant and stand out against the kraft cardstock.

After this, I took out my cuttlebug and die cut the word 'hello' twice, once from white cardstock and once from a purple cardstock to match my largest flower. I layered these together, creating a sort of shadow effect, and then adhered to my card using the multi matte medium from Ranger.

The last thing I did is stamp the word 'buttercup' in Versamark ink and embossed it using some white embossing powder.

Here's my finished card:

I've also entered this card in the new Avery Elle challenge over at their challenge blog, this time the theme is Kraft, so this fit perfectly. Go check it out :)
